..............Query Letter I Wrote for a Syndicated Columnist

Leslie McDonald is an author, Gold medalist, teacher and founder of the Midwest Horse Fair. She is launching a new monthly column that is ideal for your demographic.
Down the Aisle focuses on the challenges, humor and life lessons experienced by middle-aged women in the horse world. Often funny, sometimes heartwarming and always true, Down the Aisle honors this very large block of the horse world from all riding disciplines. We want to offer your publication a regional exclusive to the new column.

The new column is an extension of Leslie's upcoming book, also entitled,
Down the Aisle. With the release of the new book, Leslie is launching an interactive website where women can come together to share their Down the Aisle stories on-line. That website is also the place where we will be promoting all the magazines in which the Down the Aisle column is running. Leslie will be selecting special stories from her on-line community to showcase in her column and by promoting the magazines in which the column appears, her web visitors will know which magazines to subscribe to in order to watch for their stories.

The proposed monthly column runs 800-1,000 words and can be delivered to your publication via e-mail each month by the 10th.
